Email integration

Learn how email context may be used in Symbiosis and how to prepare for setup.

Overview

Email can add important relationship context: plans, follow-ups, introductions, and details that may not live in messaging apps. When email support is available for your account, Symbiosis will guide you through the connection flow and the permissions required for that provider.

Availability varies

Review provider permissions carefully. Connect only the mailbox you want Symbiosis to use for relationship-aware context.

Before connecting

  • Make sure you are signing into the intended mailbox.
  • Read the permission screen before approving access.
  • Avoid connecting shared, work, or sensitive mailboxes unless you are certain they are appropriate for Symbiosis.
  • Expect provider-specific setup screens and availability differences.

Common fixes

If email setup fails, try again in a current browser with cookies and JavaScript enabled. If a provider says access was denied, return to Symbiosis and restart the connection flow rather than refreshing a stale provider tab.

Privacy expectation

Email can contain highly sensitive context. If you are unsure about connecting a mailbox, pause setup and review Privacy and data or contact the team with your question.
